Welcome to CsTEdb

Summary

CsTEdb is a specific, comprehensive database of transposable elements (TsE) in Camellia sinensis. Transposable elements (TEs) are mobile DNA elements frequently found in the higher plants genome and play significant roles in structural, functional and evolutionary dynamics of the higher plants. The accurate identification, definition and classification of TEs are still inadequate in Camellia sinensis. Meanwhile, the genomes of Camellia sinensis has been sequenced, offering an opportunity to annotate and mine the TE data. We constructed a comprehensive and user-friendly web-based database, CsTEdb and hoped this database to facilitate the study of TEs biology and functional genomics in Camellia sinensis.
